Triple Play 96

Electronic Arts introduces a new baseball series with Triple Play 96 for the Sega Genesis. While it's missing a Major League Baseball license for authentic team names and logos, every player from the 1995 season has been included along with 28 realistic stadiums. A zoom mode brings you close to the plate while batting, but not so close that you can't see the entire batter. Over 2,500 frames of animation has been included in this 24-Meg cartridge, allowing for moves such as collisions, diving catches and multiple batting stances. Features such as trades, create players, injuries, hot and cold streaks, aggressive plays and an adjustable season should keep players busy throughout the year. In addition, statistics are tracked and saved in 25 different categories, pitchers are free to choose from twelve available pitches, and there are three game modes to separate the minor leaguers from the seasoned vets.
