Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

As suggested by the title, this game is inspired by the summer 2003 feature film Pirates of the Caribbean, which is in turn based on Disney's famous amusement park ride. Players take the roles of roving swashbucklers in the Age of Sail. Such a life of adventure means danger and uncertainty -- a captain may never know where the wind will take him next, so he must learn to survive by any means.

Crafty pirates will trade for what they can, and steal whatever else they need. Captains may also better their lot by capturing a larger, more powerful ship, then manning it with their own crew; those additional cannons and muskets will be handy in the high-seas battles for wealth and glory. Other escapades take place on land, featuring exploration and sword-fighting. The action is viewed from an isometric perspective.
