The original LEGO Batman video game allowed fans to see the Dark Knight in a whole new way, bringing his action-packed Gotham City adventures into a world made of LEGO bricks. Given the popularity of the first version, Warner Home Video Games decided to follow up with an even more exciting sequel. For the Nintendo Wii, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, all the vibrant, colorful and often hilarious fun of the first game is back, but this time the stakes are even higher and Dynamic Duo are going to need a little help from their friends in the Justice League. Presented with the signature LEGO aesthetic, Batman, Robin and all of Gotham City get a memorable makeover in this second edition of the popular franchise. For the first time ever in a LEGO video game, there are talking minifigures populating the gameplay, providing more fun and humor for fans of all ages. In LEGO Batman 2, the Caped Crusader and his sidekick, Robin, must reach out to fellow D.C. Comics superheroes Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern to stop two of the most notorious villains in the D.C. Universe, Lex Luthor, and the Joker. Enjoy the action filled adventure on your own with solo gameplay or take advantage of multiplayer mode that allows for easy drop-in/drop-out for co-op play with a friend. There’s even a convenient split screen option that lets you share the TV to play together as two different characters. As Batman, you can explore Gotham City by walking, soaring through the night or making use of one of the many cool vehicles you’re able to unlock in the game including the Batmobile, Batwing, and Batboat. Transportation isn’t the only thing getting an upgrade in this Nintendo Wii game with new suits and accessories that can make gameplay even more exciting. This time around, Batman is equipped with a power suit while Robin gets a hazard duit, both capable of using their power cannon to absorb and dispense hazardous liquid. Batman also possesses some pretty impressive new powers in this Nintendo Wii video game, from freeze breath which can freeze or push various objects, heat vision that can heat up and burn holes through obstacles, as well as the ability to fly through the night with greater freedom than before. In LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman all show up to lend a helping hand, but that’s not where the fun stops. In all, you’re able to collect up 50 different D.C. Comics superheroes and with this game, you get to create and customize a superhero of your own design to join the action and become part of the gameplay. All of this help will come in handy as you face a number of exciting levels and challenges brought forth by the formidable villains, Lex Luthor and the Joker.
