Halo 5: Guardians

In "Halo 5: Guardians," the Halo franchise explodes onto the Xbox One with a story mode that features two main characters, Master Chief John-117 and Jameson Locke. With multiple difficulty modes and some cutscenes that are only available on the highest of these modes, this 10-hour story features a high level of replayability. Once you've finally completed the story mode, the action continues in the game's various multiplayer modes. With more than 10 different cooperative modes available, there's something for every fan. Along with all of the brand new weapons and accessories found in the game's single-player mode, the multiplayer mode also features exclusive weapons such as the Arbiter's energy sword. Guardians is an Xbox One exclusive that offers an extended campaign and endless hours of action on Xbox Live. Halo 5 continues the story from previous games in the popular Xbox series. The game focuses primarily on Master Chief, the leader of Blue Team. After completing a mission to secure a derelict station, he receives a cryptic message from Cortana. John-117 goes AWOL, and Fireteam Osiris is charged with tracking down Blue Team and capturing John. While pursuing him, Osiris comes under attack by Promethean, as well as Covenant forces later on, fueling the action. In between the action, gorgeous cinematic cutscenes tell the story in high-definition fidelity. While Guardians is the first entry in the popular franchise that does not support split-screen action, it replaces this feature with a variety of other innovations. This is the first game in the franchise that emphasizes squad-based combat and tactics. Unlike other games that featured the player only briefly accompanied by allies, the gamer is supported by NPC squadmates in single-player mode; in cooperative play, other gamers take control of these characters. Each squad member has exclusive special abilities that can be used to the player’s advantage. New gameplay features were also added, including Spartan Abilities. One of these abilities is that the players’ armor has been outfitted with various thrusters to improve their movement and combat abilities. The weapon sights were refined so that all weapons allow players to view down the barrel of an iron sight when zoomed in. Halo 5 also saw an uptick in combat difficulty. In order to defeat a diverse array of enemies, gamers will have to adapt and change their strategies over the course of a battle. They'll need to learn to rely on their squadmates and issue strategic commands as well. This allows for a broader range of gameplay and keeps the action and fighting tense, which is essential for a first-person shooter. Although "Halo 5: Guardians" ships with a number of multiplayer maps, an additional 15 maps are available as free digital DLC for everyone who owns the game. There are a wide variety of multiplayer options, including both cooperative and competitive modes. A new mode, Warzone, allows for a four-on-four matchup between player-controlled teammates and AI enemies.
