All three games offer open-ended, nonlinear storyline gameplay. However, each takes place in a different time period and fictional city. For example, Vice City takes place in the 1980s and seems to be inspired by the crime drama 'Miami Vice' with criminals wearing pastel-colored suits. As in earlier versions, players get to choose from a wide array of deadly weapons, the game is full of self-involved pedestrians, and it offers eight radio station soundtracks that players get to listen to while inside of a vehicle.
